St John’s Street

One of the largest houses in a row of Grade II Listed Georgian townhouses. The project was on five levels and included complete alterations, refurbishment and new installations including a new kitchen to the basement and refurbishment of the existing Georgian fireplace. The work also included the careful insertion of a new bathroom on the first floor. This was achieved working closely with the Oxford City Council Conservation Officer. The work included alterations and improvements to the existing loft space, to create a large open studio area. Work was carried out on a fast-track basis, with instructions received in November and building work completed in the following August. This included dealing with the Planning Authority, obtaining all the necessary consents including planning, conservation, listed building and building regulations. The scheme was very successful, the client moved in on time and we have continued good relationships with the client with whom we work on ongoing maintenance to the property.
