Castle Mill House, Jericho, Oxford

Riach Architects designed this scheme as a competition entry for the refurbishment of a 1960’s residential block in the Jericho district of Oxford. Extra accommodation was added to the rooftop offering high-quality units with views over Oxford.

The scheme also focused on solving the inherent environmental problems of buildings of that period, whilst producing an aesthetic uplift to the building. The proposed building form adds interest to the building's skyline to help it sit more comfortably in its context.
